My Grand (mom's mom), who died more than 50 years ago, had her three children strew her ashes on the Hudson, but they also planted a pink dogwood for her somewhere in Poughkeepsie. They all forgot where it was, so we can't visit it, but when the dogwoods bloom in the spring, I think of Grand.
