Happy Father’s Day to those of you who still have a father. Be sure to say I love you every chance you get. You never know when it will be the last time.
Our house in Virginia used to do that. It was nearly a weekly occurrence to have to dig splinters out of someone’s foot. We had the floors refinished, and within two months I had a new job in a new state and we had to put it on the market.
The Art of Gathering (audio book) it’s excellent and has great ideas for improving gatherings as diverse as backyard bbq, work meetings, book festivals, and a formal diner party.
I forget who recommended on here to develop a relationship with a local florist and just call them and give them a price and free reign to develop bouquets for you. Whoever it is, thank you. I sent my wife a bouquet, just because, and not only did she love it, but it made her coworkers jealous.

That’s what you want. The wispy top wis the frond. That’s what it looks like. If you start with seeds they say to wait 3 years before harvesting. If you start with crowns it’s 1 year. And you only get a partial harvest the first year that you can. But it’s worth the wait.
