So you’ve seen The Odyssey and you want more to learn more about Greek Mythology @paulcarroll.bsky.social and I got you covered with DOWN BELOW: an anthology that mixes Greek Myth with Crime Noir. It’s full of bittersweet tragedies, impossible odds, and “heroes” struggling on in spite of it all.
Finishing up work on a script that gave me the opportunity to revisit and pay tribute to a pair of very important runs for me. It’s not what you think but it’s a lot of fun and I can’t wait for you to read it. Ask me about it again in October.
Hey #PortfolioDay! You may know me as the writer of WHEN THE BLOOD HAS DRIED from @madcavestudios.com, HIT-MONKEY from Marvel: Black, White & Blood and Guts, an editor at @limitbreakcomics.bsky.social, the Irish translator for FLASH GORDON and more TBA. Open for work. 📧: garymoloney93@gmail.com
Watching the latter half of Spider-Noir and this guy shows up. There’s something about his voice. The cadence. And then it’s hits me. It’s Andrew Robinson. It’s Garak. Plain, simple….Garak.
Adetokumboh M'Cormack was amazing as En Sabha Nur in the opening arc of X-Men ‘97. Bringing some of his portrayal of Issac in Castlevania to bear on the role. Just incredibly strong stuff and made helped us connect with the man who would become Apocalypse.
Escanor wishes you all the best in the slaying of your enemies and seeing them driven before you.
The advantage of studying French again is being able to read graphic albums and chalk it down as practice.
A new batch of WHEN THE BLOOD HAS DRIED TPBs has arrived just in time for con season thanks to my friends and publishing partners over at @madcavestudios.com! If you like character-focused dark fantasy with a dash of spaghetti western thrown in for good measure then this is the book for you.
“New Achievement: Binge listener! You’ve successfully gotten lost in a new book series. Reward? Dungeon Crawler Carl should be reward enough.”
Breaking story the only way I know how with an old friend albeit while test-driving something new… CC: @themarvelousmrc.bsky.social
Happy 35th Anniversary to Sonic the Hedgehog! He may be a video game iconic but to me he was a comic character first. One whose adventures got me into the medium. I bought a page from that series a few years back from the incomparable Richard Elson because I wouldn’t be here without it.
Batman/Dredd. ‘Nuff said. Judgement on Gotham gives you fantastic Simon Bisley art whereas Vendetta in Gotham brings you Cam Kennedy at arguably the height of his powers!
Shout-out to the French edition I picked up along my travels as a stopgap and to help with my vocab.
So if you like your fantasy with an Irish flavour, incredible artwork, and stories about carrying the weight of a life of violent and the fantasy of finding peace. Then maybe you’d enjoy WHEN THE BLOOD HAS DRIED; ask your local comic shop or bookstore order you a copy!
