This is the second “A stage at the DC Fair is collapsing in real time” example that I’ve seen in ten minutes. It’s like watching a “Life After People” episode, except the collapse is happening in hours instead of decades.

I couldn’t even remember her name (Christine O’Donnell). All I remember about her was her campaign ad where she said “I’m not a witch” so naturally everyone immediately concluded she was a witch and lost her election by a landslide. 🧙♀️

I think about this particular photo from early COVID 2020 a lot. At the time, and to a degree even now, I could not understand why the protestors hated the doctors. Six years later, the photo still gets me emotional.

I was the geeky kid in the 80’s who enjoyed Bloom County. The fact that he was even considered for political office felt like a personal insult aimed at me.
