New study: “SARS-CoV-2 infection can induce persistent immune dysregulation characterized by hyperinflammation [and] lymphopenia… Post-COVID autoimmune manifestations involve multiple systems, including neurological, hematological, endocrine…” That sure doesn’t sound like a cold to me.
“Did the virus itself cause some kind of change in our brains? Because *something* happened & for some reason it's not being talked about enough.” Yes, it did—& importantly, it continues to do so bcs the pandemic didn’t actually end. There are other factors sure, but it’s the virus, too. #COVID
I wonder whether it has anything to do with the damage that repeated COVID infections do to the immune system. The article neglected to mention that as a possible factor. Real life @thev.bsky.social.
You can say that again. Feels like you’re in a deadly doom loop every time you’re the only masked person at the hospital or a health facility. (By the way, they’re not going to recover from Covid-19 until they wake up and put on %*^$ing masks. It’s not rocket science.)
By downplaying the harms of COVID and basically normalizing it as a cold—and not informing the public it’s a dangerous airborne virus that causes organ and immune system damage—the Biden administration did incalculable harm to public health and set the stage for RFK Jr to completely dismantle it.
Yeah, I say display them! And don’t forget about Old Fred. He was rare & hard to find.

I hope more COVID-safe people can find others out there who get it. I know it’s really hard and challenging.
The powers that be know that COVID remains dangerous. They just don’t want any of “their” funds to go towards combatting it.
Catherine O’Hara had a serious heart condition and had COVID last year. COVID can cause cardiovascular complications.
The new 2026 edition of “What's Up With COVID and What We Can Do About It” from @newlevant.bsky.social! It’s a handy 10-page ‘zine about COVID harms, mitigations, air purification, etc., with graphic-novel-like illustrations. See link below.
Interesting—and alarming of course—to see an article and many anecdotal comments by people in r/Collapse who aren’t necessarily “COVID aware” per se, but who report some degree of cognitive impairment after infections.
New study: “SARS-CoV-2 causes lasting immune dysregulation for over 20 months.” And if most or many people are getting infected once every 12 months, then when does their immune system have time to recover? Immune systems protect against colds & infections but also cancer & other diseases. #COVID
Let’s hope more people catch on in 2026 that COVID is still a danger and not just a cold—regardless of what any politician or article says.
