You can tell from the look on his face what he is thinking: “Of course it is a picture perfect sploot. Did you expect anything less from me?” 😂 😂
We were in Norway this past week! Have your friends contemplate the landscape in Canada and Norway :-) lots to consider 💕
Today we visited the Oslo waterfront and the National Museum (would be better described as the "National Art Gallery"). We saw Edvard Munch's well known version of “The Scream". I walked over to the Akershus Fortress, built to protect the medieval royal castle plus other buildings in the old town.
Kinn Municipality, Norway at latitude 61.5 The sun will not set for almost another hour. Just a different world :-)
We are presently cruising through the Norwegian fjords. The views are magnificent! We are reminded of our responsibility to keep nature whole for future generations.
Here are some iconic views from London. We are currently enjoying a few days of touring. It’s very hot and humid but we Canadians are not complaining after the bitter 2025-2026 Canadian winter 😀
A walk in Lake Ontario Park never fails to be refreshing even in the heat of summer. Living on one of the Great Lakes is a joy.
Our garden is in its glory! But that rabbit is a nuisance - we have already dealt with mice, wasps and raccoons. Living near a nature preserve is a mixed blessing.
Vancouver is an amazing city! We loved the rescue animals at the Aquarium:-)
We are enjoying some time in Vancouver. Beautiful Canadian coastal city that has a mild climate and magnificent views. Well appreciated after the fierce winter in Eastern Ontario :-)
After a week of mild, almost spring-like weather, this is the state of our yard on April 7, 2026. 😂 This past winter in Eastern Ontario has been exceptionally snowy, cold and long.
Grenada is filled with blooming shrubs everywhere- many I recognize such as hibiscus, begonias, and bougainvilleas. But this one is new: My Google search suggests a lobster claw plant. Input welcome :-)
Here are some first impressions of Grenada. We are very happy to escape the Canadian winter for a week :-)
Have you been in the Freud museum? We tend not to go to the museums in our own communities:-)
Liebe Grüße aus kaltem Kanada von dem Koji. Er ist der Hund meines Sohnes und kommt regelmäßig zu uns zu Besuch :-)
Full moon tonight in Kingston. Brightness, light and hope for the Advent season.
Kein Mitgefühl ;-) Hier in Kanada haben wir seit zwei Wochen Schnee.
Last night I slept uncharacteristically poorly as I was awoken by constant nightmares. Reading Victoria Giuffre’s story was traumatic and I’m a psychologist! These child victims deserve justice and other children deserve protection from such abuse! It’s on us to act.
Wonderful fall day in eastern Ontario! Fall is my favourite season!
Wising everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Feeling thankful for family, friends and country.
Lake Huron where it meets the St. Clair River. Looking out over the water brings feelings of peace. Schönen Tag Dir.
I complain that I always walk in the same conservationist area 200 m from our home. Boring until it is perfect :-)
The Blue Water Bridge has linked Point Edward, Ontario to Port Huron, Michigan since 1938. My first photo shows the Canadian side and the second shows the US side. Both sides are flying a Canadian flag and a US flag. Why are right wing politicians seeking to destroy our friendship?
After living in Kingston for decades, we finally visited Bellevue House. Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A. MacDonald, lived here in 1848. Don't you just love that green bathtub? BTW Shout out to Parks Canada for their balanced treatment of Sir John A.’s legacy.
The future of Canadian hockey !! Moose Jets team in the U7 group at the Brianne Jenner Hockey Academy Ottawa 2025.
Today we had a spectacular boat tour of Lake Maligne in the Jasper area. The drive back to the hotel was complicated by two groups of Albertans who insisted on crossing the highway without following the traffic rules 😂 😂 😂
