Surplus #aquarium finally get some plants. I don't have enough small ground-cover plants to do this properly, but it's better than nothing. At least the cats cannot throw the pots in the floor this way.

2/3 #mounjaro The BIG difference is in my blood glucose graph. Before very low - very high roller coaster, with 30-day average 156, only 75% within target range of 95-180 and 1% very high >250. ONE WEEK later, 3-day average BG is 140, 88% in range. Today J20, 3-day average BG 132, 91% in range.

#ReflectingSeaweed Mans Club apparently has obtained approval to harvest and process the algae in the Reflecting Pool. Trump approved the project after Mans Club told him that "this way, you can make some money out of it." I tried it; would not recommend it. It tastes like paint thinner. 😜

Nest 'boxes' for #swallows. These are flower pots that I find generally too small to be useful outdoors in the desert. In the first few years that I lived here in #DemingNM they nested on top of that light fixture. I may already be too late for that in SW NM, but I have not seen a single one yet.

The old and the new. The old cooler still works just fine. Even though it is only half the size, the new one pushes half again as much (colder) air as the big one because the pads inside are much thicker. Tomorrow I'll install the drain and water supply. #EvaporativeCooler #SwamCooler #NewMexico

It still works good, but it is too big and prevents M from getting by it with the power wheelchair.

The new one is less than half the size of the old one, but pushes half again as much air that is also considerably cooler. It is the same model I have been using in the greenhouse last year. The cool air and evaporation manage to keep the fish tanks under 80ºF.
Less than 20" deep, allows the wheelchair to get by.

The kittycats don't care which cooler is there, as long as they can lie on top of it.

The inside air inlet is twice as big as the old one.

#Chervil soup Homegrown chervil has the necessary freshness for the delicate anise flavor to persist.

Chervil has a very delicate anise smell and flavor that disappears very quickly after harvesting. Boiling, refrigeration or freezing destroys the flavor.

If you want to make chervil soup, you almost have to grow it yourself. Which I did.

Leek & potato soup on a chicken broth base.
When that is fully cooked, add half the chervil and some spinach leaves before blending. I didn't have spinach, so I used a lettuce medley instead. Blend until fairly smooth and thick

The remainder of chervil as garnish with optional heavy cream.

One Step Closer to fiber cable internet in #DemingNM. CenturyLink sucked and was charging more for 7Mbps than we will be paying for 300Mbps with WNM-C. I'd switch away from Starlink just out of principle to avoid enriching Elon Musk even more but again, better service for less money with WNM-C.
