Congressman Eugene Vindman (VA-07)
@gene4va
Father. Husband. Iraq War Veteran | Congressman, Virginia’s Seventh District
It’s been great meeting so many Virginians fired up and ready to take back Congress! Just over 80 days until Election Day, when we send a clear message: we’re done with rubber-stamp Republicans making life harder for working people.
I'm honored to have the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign. I'll always fight to protect the rights and dignity of every Virginian. Thank you to @hrc.org for your support.
Today, I sent a letter to the SCC urging them to reject the proposed merger between Dominion Energy and NextEra energy. This deal would hand control of our state's energy grid to an out-of-state ownership structure that isn't accountable to Virginians. I'll keep fighting until this deal is dead.
Thanks to everyone who came out to see me and @markwarner.bsky.social this weekend! It's always great to see so many Virginians energized. With your support, we're going to take back Congress and keep fighting for the Commonwealth.
Team Vindman knocked on hundreds of doors for National Dem Summer Weekend of Action! Thank you to @jamieraskin.com.web.brid.gy for joining me in Woodbridge to mobilize and connect with voters in Virginia’s Seventh District! We’re putting in the work to keep this seat blue and win big in November.
Great spending the afternoon with @markwarnerva.bsky.social in Culpeper yesterday! Thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us. Every conversation reminds us what’s at stake, and we’re ready to keep building toward November.
Thank you to everyone who came out in Barboursville yesterday! The path to the House majority runs through Virginia’s Seventh District, and this grassroots support is what will make it possible.
The Dale City Fourth of July Parade was a wonderful celebration of what makes our Commonwealth and our country so special. I loved meeting so many proud Virginians who are committed to building a stronger future together.
The momentum behind our grassroots campaign sends a clear message: this movement is only growing stronger, and we're ready to keep fighting for the future Virginia deserves. starexponent.com/news/local/g...
🚨 I’m honored to earn the endorsement of SEIU Virginia State Council. I'm grateful for their partnership as we fight to lower costs, protect workers, and build an economy that works for all Virginians.
There is nothing better than celebrating America’s birthday alongside friends and neighbors. It was great to join the Dale City Fourth of July Parade and recognize the values of freedom, service, and community that make our country strong.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures out there! Wishing an especially wonderful day to my dad, who taught me the importance of hard work and integrity and has always been my biggest role model.
Great crowd at Sky Bar in Fredericksburg tonight! Thank you to everyone who came out and showed your support. Together, we’re building the momentum we need to win back the House.
Gun violence has touched too many families, schools, and communities across our country. On #GunViolenceAwarenessDay, we remember those we've lost, stand with survivors, and recommit ourselves to finding common ground on solutions that save lives and keep our communities safe.
The American people deserve to know their elected officials are working for them, not auditioning for their next job. That's why I'm leading a bill to ban Members of Congress from lobbying their former colleagues after leaving office. Public service should be about serving the American people.
🗳It’s official! I am humbled to share that I will be the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s Seventh District this November. I will continue our fight to take on corruption, deliver real results, and make life more affordable for every Virginian.
Happy Mother’s Day! To every mom, grandmother, and mother figure, I hope today is filled with joy and time spent with loved ones. I am especially thankful for my wife Cindy today. Our family is so lucky to have you!
My statement on the Virginia Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn a voter-approved congressional redistricting plan to push back on Donald Trump’s efforts to rig the 2026 midterms:
Yesterday, it was great to join local leaders for the 26th Sturdivant Awards Brunch celebrating those who’ve made outstanding contributions to Virginia’s labor community. Congratulations to Smitty Connolly, Thomas Ross, Kee Jun, & LaNoral Thomas. Thank you for your continued service to Virginians.
Pete Hegseth has been derelict in his duty as Secretary of Defense. Yesterday, I told him that to his face. Doubling down on reprehensible comments after six U.S. service members were killed in Kuwait is disqualifying. Secretary Hegseth must resign.
It was great to join Franconia Dems for their Opening Day! Thanks to everyone who came out and is ready to get to work. This is the energy we need to win back the House in November and keep delivering for our communities.
The president started a redistricting war to rig the midterms in his favor. This week, Virginia dealt him a decisive defeat. This is not the first war the president has started with no strategy, no plan, and no way to finish.
Today, Virginians stood up to Donald Trump’s corruption and demanded a level playing field. I’m proud of the work we’ve done in VA-07, and I’m ready to bring that same fight to VA-01. I’ll work every day to earn your trust and keep delivering for the Commonwealth.
Donald Trump said that if this referendum passes, it will curb his power in Washington. He’s right. It will stop his power grab and restore a level playing field where voters, not politicians, decide our elections. Vote YES by 7pm today.
It’s Election Day in Virginia! I’m out at First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries greeting voters alongside Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Supervisor Andrea Bailey. Polls are open until 7 PM — make your plan, go vote, and vote YES.
Election Day is tomorrow, Virginia. While Trump fuels corruption and chaos, Virginians deserve fair elections and a government that works for them. Make your plan at iwillvote.com and vote YES.
The president was elected to lower costs and tackle inflation for American families. Instead, most of his policies have done the opposite—driving prices up and making life harder for the very people he promised to help.
The most dangerous thing about this administration isn’t just bad decisions — it’s who’s in the room making them. The president has filled his cabinet with unqualified “yes” men and women. No independence. No accountability. No one willing to speak hard truths.
This weekend, I was out on the campaign trail in Prince William and Fairfax to speak with our neighbors about the importance of showing up to the polls and voting YES to level the playing field. 9 days to get out the vote — let’s do this!
We've been at war for over 40 days. We've been spending an average of $1 billion dollars a day - per the Pentagon. We've spent over $40 billion on this conflict to put ourselves in what is likely a worse geopolitical position than we started thanks to this President.
