Here's how to fix Canada's federal budget! The bonus? 3/4 of Canadians agree that it's time to reform Old Age Security. (4/5)....
Does this look like a Canada that wants improved affordability for younger Canadians????? (3/5)....
Last year wasn't a great year for generational fairness. Let's do better this year! Deadline to submit your ideas is Sept. 8 bit.ly/2026Canadianbudget (2/5)....
Tell the Canadian government how to spend YOUR money!! bit.ly/2026Canadianbudget 🧵(1/5)
Canadian seniors have the lowest rate of poverty and the most wealth of any generation. Any increase in OAS should be targeted to those in need and should come from a decrease in OAS payments to those who are financially secure. www.gensqueeze.ca/fix_oas

We applaud the change to property tax deferral in BC but also encourage even more change that is needed immediately to return to generational fairness in Canada. Many thanks to Phill Webb for the content contribution. Please read his recent article on the topic: www.gensqueeze.ca/vancouver_su...
Education, hard work and savings are no longer enough for most young Canadians wishing to buy a home. (9/10)
Young Canadians deserve housing policy change that is effective and significant. (8/10)
Some argue the change doesn't go nearly far enough to make a meaningful change (7/10)
That's a lot of multi-millionaires putting off paying their taxes! (5/10)
The subsidy made sense 50 years ago but in 2026 most of the beneficiaries are now multi-millionaires! (4/10)
Property tax deferral began in the 1970s to help house rich/cash poor seniors "retire in place". (3/10)
Did you know??? If you are over age 55 and a resident of BC you can defer paying municipal property taxes on your primary residence? (2/10)

Not to mention, the stagnating salary has to be viewed in context with the most expensive personal budget item for anyone who didn't own a home by the 1990s: Rent/Down Payment/Mortgage. Here is a chart that shows the STRUGGLE!
We need a fix ASAP. 20% of OAS recipients live in households with incomes above $100,000/year. Join us if you want reform: www.gensqueeze.ca/fix_oas
You know....we were thinking of a "young age security" but your idea is even better! All Age Security is the way to go! But we'd love to make sure the benefit goes to those most in need. This is the current situation with OAS. Seem unfair when so many people are living in poverty right now.
Is Canada Failing the Next Generation? GenSqueeze founder, Dr. Paul Kershaw recently joined @maxfawcett.bsky.social Fawcett on his @nationalobserver.com podcast Power Lines. Their conversation sheds light on the growing generational divide in Canada and what we can do about it! #cdnpoli
Old Age Security payments will rise this month to account for inflation. Here are the numbers. OAS is the single biggest line item in the federal budget. It accounts for $83 Billion/year. $17B of that goes to retirees in households making above $100,000/year. nationalpost.com/news/canada/...

The fix is free and painless: Publish 2 CPI series. Each one with its own purpose.
Younger Canadians are disproportionately shouldering the burden.
