I found Blue on Petfinder(dot)com. She was a 4 years old Alaskan Malamute being placed by Polaris Malamute Rescue. Petfinder lists adoptable pets from shelters and rescues, and has many "search criteria" available. Blue is now 10 years old and has brought great joy to my life.
