My last bar of 😍 Nancy Boy soap, in the Sweetgrass scent. This California company folded up less than 3 months after the 2024 presidential elections. They had to be thinking about the consequences. Also gone - my laundry and dishwashing soap. Now looking for non-culty non-corporate stuff.

Multiple media outlets (The Hill, The Guardian, and a local DC television station), announced the cancellation of the July 4th parade due to extreme temperatures (up to 115F). It is not mentioned in The NYT. WHAT climate crisis?

I was born 10 days "late". Who knows what was going on. But my parable is that I, as a fetus, did not want to transition (yet). So some years I celebrate my First Birthday. The day I was supposed to be born but decided not to.

Trump walks by, leaning forward with his jacket cuff covering the back of his right hand, long hair less kept than usual, a (sigh) look on his face that I am at a loss to describe, a wall at the G7 meetings looking like the miserable 80-year old schlub that he is. This is not a portrait of power or confidence.

The MS NOW live stream on YouTube showing the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy Center exterior at approaching midnight Friday night June 12th. No letters off yet; they're still finishing the construction workers scaffolding. Off-camera, a lively crowd has gathered to enjoy the proceedings. Cow bell, car horns - sounds like a large street party. 🎉
