Fudge doughnut, chilled in the fridge so the custardy middle is cool. Would tick both boxes.

A fudge doughnut which some Philistine has halved, but at least it clearly shows the extent of the custardy interior. Taken in front of Fisher and Donaldson, Mecca of the fudge doughnut connoisseur.

Interesting mechanism for conflict resolution.

An Ironside Dalek - an aggressive alien from Doctor Who in a battle suit that resembles a pepper pot. This one is in a World War II olive drab camouflage paint job, with webbing. It has a slatted are at the neck that looks not unlike a similar structure in John's garden photos.

Castle Lachlan, Strathlachlan. It’s an ivy covered ruinous tower with two main internal ranges surrounding a rectangular courtyard (not visible). The single entryway is a small door at the top of a slope on the left.

Castle Lachlan, Strathlachlan. Inside the northern range, looking out over Loch Fyne. The walls on the left have windows that open over the internal courtyard. We’re one or two storeys up, and the gap where the loch is visible would once also have been a wall.

Burbling as it came.

A jabberwock approaching through a wood which is presumably at least a bit tulgy. Although it’s been adapted to be a practical 28mm figure by Ral Partha, it still conveys a reasonable impression of the 1871 John Tenniel illustration with spindly clawed fingers, and large slab-like teeth. The background is a tunnel-like formation of trees.

The first figure I painted for a specific RPG character - Malachi Stark, of New Jerusalem. Late 1980s, probably Essex Miniatures.

A gentleman of the 1640s on horseback in the borders of Faerie, near to the German town of New Jerusalem. He’s wearing a buff coat, breastplate and lobster-tailed pot helmet. His lance is levelled towards the right of the viewer. His horse is wearing leather barding.
