Ok I feel sorry for anyone who is trying to feel better w a chronic disease but omg this isn’t how anything works and the abuse he put himself through and is recommending to others— this is what the “Lyme literate” doctors have wrought. Yikes
But it is also the result of a long-ago dispute over NIH priorities post-9/11 and anthrax letter attacks. NIAID, then led by Tony Fauci, received significant $$$ to respond to biodefense threats. Richard Ebright, now of anti-GOF, Biosafety Now fame, organized a letter to protest the influx.
Tulips are also my favorite flowers! Sadly, they are slightly poisonous when eaten and one of my cats eats all vegetation, even fake plants.

People who didn’t believe diphtheria antiserum saved lives opposed a statue of Balto to be put in Central Park. He was the head dog for final leg of Alaskan journey to Nome to save kids in the 1920’s.
I really appreciated the 2 part @ifbookspod.bsky.social podcast covering the book plus the special episode about the lab leak garbage this book puts forward. I recommend it to anyone who wants to know why so much is wrong w this book without suffering through it themselves.
