This included every treatise, founding law, and amendment to Venathca’s long register of laws and provisions. He closed his eyes and tilted his head to the side with an amount of restraint he felt he should be praised for.

“What are you doing?” Ikuto asked, his voice lifting in amusement.

“Trying to remember if there’s any legal precedence for throwing a Venathican prince off of a cliff in a fit of rage that didn’t end in execution for treason.”

The guard to Keian’s side gasped, but Ikuto didn’t flinch. “There’s precedence that *did* end in execution?”

“Yes.”

“Lucky me.”
