a week ago i couldn't find the male swan anywhere, and i even had a chat with the female but she just softly hissed at me, as if to say 'mind your own fucking business'. but then few days ago i saw him climb onto the reed island in front of my willow tree, making a nest! and then, ..

the park on the right of my tree seatlo9king out over the small part of the lake where an island of reed lies in the middle. on the island a swan is visible, with their partner in front of the shore on the other side of the water.

weirdest text i ever received on #NYE2025 from my local council social services department, which is a landline. it's insulting too. i am defo less of a sheep than ppl working there, well, i guess bar whoever did this 😆

on NYE 2025 at 11:37pm i received a text from my local social services department showing only 17 sheep emojis.
and it's from a council landline, surely they can't text emojis from a landline? i am baffled

took myself out to #durham botanical gardens amidst a growing storm. resulting in getting soaked & hypothermic bc there were no taxis. luckily the manager of #DurhamCityTaxis went out of his way to rescue me, gentlemen do still exist 😊

i was just in time to see these beautiful koi carp in the only greenhouse. they were very curious & inquisitive. a mixed bunch of orange, yelllow & white of different ages. there were only 2 very big ones.
