Great conference today with LGBT Ireland on Addressing Invisibility in LGBTQIA+ Health and Social Care. I was there to present on the persistent gaps in our understanding of sexual minority women’s health and the importance of strengthening research, policy and practice in this area.
Today I’m honoured to receive a UCD Values in Action Award for fostering inclusion across and beyond the university. A very meaningful recognition of work grounded in equity, justice, belonging and the collective efforts of so many committed to making our institutions and healthcare more inclusive.
Happy International Nurses Day! As a profession, I hope we continue to strive for healthcare that is more equitable, compassionate, and rooted in justice. Thinking especially of comrades providing care in Gaza & other humanitarian settings. Solidarity with nurses everywhere this #IND2026

Heartbroken to hear the passing of Dolores Keane. I’ve been listening to her since I was a child, it’s hard to put into words how much her music has meant to me. Feels like the loss of something profoundly Irish, but the gift she left through her music will remain. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam
Recently, a photograph surfaced of my godmother and grand aunt, Aggie Martin. It made me think about the quiet ways women shape who we become, often without knowing it. #InternationalWomensDay

Great few days at #IUSTI Athens great discussion, old friends, new ones (maybe a few new enemies!). Struck by lack of community voices though & stigmatising views at times, we won’t win the fight against STIs without community partnership. Big love to @thelovetankcic.bsky.social for great workshop
Great to be in Athens for the 38th Annual IUSTI Europe Congress (International Union Against Sexually Transmitted Infection). I’m presenting our work on Awareness, Attitudes and early Use of DoxyPEP in Ireland!
