Surgery tomorrow to remove 8 scalp cysts. One is big enough that it has to be removed or I need to come up with a name for it. Third time I've had this done... up to 13 at one time, and many one-offs in MD offices/ER/urgent cares. Rest of head looks like a sharpei's butt. Sorry, shar peis.
I miss TX BBQ... no sauce, just post oak and/or hickory. Pinto beans with salt pork or a smoked hock, a bagged loaf of bread and roll of paper towels on the tables. ❤️
Her last photo at home in her car seat, on the way to her final appointment. She let me know over a few days that it was time. We had our time to snuggle before I took her. I was out of body. My final family member wouldn't be coming home.
One year ago today, I had to say goodbye to the only good thing in my life. The rest of my day has sucked royally from parole in TX considering reducing the intensity of my rapist's monitoring, IRS not getting payment put in the right place- so $50 penalty, CPAP company must be on crack, etc.

I had a ton of squirrels at the house. In the summer, it was common to see them 'splooting' in the shady parts. I had an all-season squirrel HQ out on the deck 🤣

I've got gout, so animal proteins are on serious restriction. I make Avo-tac-fauxs.... Cheese, sliced avocado, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Prefer white or blue corn taco shells. Not sure why the avocados look radioactive, but they were acceptable !
10 years and 4 hours, 20 minutes ago, my dad died. He was my earthly rock. Getting to know him as an adult was great. He was the principal of my high school, so I saw a different side of him as a kid. He took great care of my demented mom for about 10 yrs. He was an amazing dad.
WOW... Love the photo. When I lived in TX, I'd go out and take lightening shots every chance I got. I got this one tonight about 75 miles NW of Chicago, after it had moved through here. Had planes trying to land at RFD needing to approach from the NW when E or SE is the usual.
My baby girl of 12 1/2 years died last May, in my arms at the emergency vet clinic. She was my last family anywhere near here. I get it. It hurts when they're not where they used to be. She was a sarcastic little thing (note tongue). She was my last of 5, starting when I was 8.
This one ate just the tops of my radishes... and I was OK with that. 😊

With gout, I eat 'tac-fauxs', which are better than 'tac-nos' All of the toppings, none of the meat. 😀 This one has taco flavored chopped mushrooms instead of meat, but usually I have them with just the cheese, pico, and sour cream.
OK, I've got gout (among other things), and have been suspicious of "non-meat" products. But, I tried the Beyond Chicken Tenders, and they are GOOD. Texture is a tad soft, but not unpleasant, and the inside looks like a mulch nugget. A bit of ranch or BBQ sauce, and it's McD's in the freezer !!
I've got one month of the year covered with a spider that spins a web across my entire front door... 🤣 Every year Charlotte I, II, III, and IV have done a good job of deterring door knockers.

I've had several sponsor kids for at least 8 years; 4 currently. I'm going to have to let them go after Christmas. With the cost of everything, I can no longer afford even the modest monthly cost, plus birthdays and Christmas. They're such great kids. This breaks my heart.
