Another truth. I still go back to the argument of those opposed to gay marriage with the question of - "How does my marriage to someone of my same gender affect your life and your marriage?" The same is true of trans people and their existence. Just how does it negatively impact your life?

It's been awhile since I've posted on here and it's been a week of loss and sadness and sorrow. With almost 17 orbits around the Sun, 16 of them with me, my little man Oliver Twist of Lemon made the transition to the rainbow bridge. I love that little guy and still do. Always a place in my heart.

I decided to make a light coq au vin for dinner tonight. Mushrooms, onions, garlic, chicken, herbs & spices. Used a rosé instead of a darker red - like a burgundy or Beaujolais or Pinot Noir. Served over fettuccine with some roasted potatoes and green beans.
Hmmm..... Maybe instead of trying to turn abandoned warehouses into temporary prisons for immigrants, maybe the US government should do something more like this... What do you think? Is this doable? And is as far more of a humane way to treat people? Why don't we do this??
I wrote about this on my own thread, after reading many of the posts and such. I've been in situations like this & one of the hardest parts for the DJ to have to do is that transition from one music style to another. It ain't easy to try and go from country to house music and from DJ1 to DJ2.
It can also be a lot more incongruent when you have fairly different types of music expected by both events and their attendees. It's sort of difficult to go from - say - show tunes to house music, or maybe headbanger pink ball to disco. There is no easy way to transition from one to another.
Beyond the overlap of very different clientele, there's also the very difficult transition from one DJ with their own equipment and systems, to another DJ with yet more equipment and systems. All in a space basically designed for one person and one set of equipment. Not good and not easy.
