She/Her. Seattle. Your neighborhood auntie, and poster lady. Reply-guys need not reply.
Like Tina Fey, I love that I have a lot of hair, and more hair than my enemies. Yes, it may fall out when I'm older, but for now, I'm going to show off my wild mane.
Didn't sleep too great last night, so I today I'm hitting up my favorite Chinese place for their lunch special
Awhile back, a friend of mine told me all about the pickled pineapple she had from The Pickle Guys in New York. We decided to get together and make our own.
I put up posters at the neighborhood bookstore, and one of their cats, James, was posed so elegantly yesterday.
My tomato harvest. I sometimes feel like my pics are underwhelming compared to people who have large gardens. But I am proud of this first little harvest
We stopped in at Powell's, and I spotted @keezyyoung.bsky.social on the recommend shelf!
As we've been watching Ken Burns' Civil War, one thing that struck me was a portrait photo of Jefferson Davis and his 2nd wife, Varina Davis. She is such a trophy wife. She came from two wealthy southern families and was a total trophy wife. She eventually became a writer.
Got up to water the plants this morning, and decided to pick a few marigolds.
I'm really glad that I only get my hair cut twice a year. My girl raised her prices, but she's damn good.
My violin teacher used to have this sign up in her window. She was a leftist Catholic who fought for more music education in our public schools. I think about this phrase a lot more these days.
Last year some foliage in the alley got cut back, and this year the grapevines that were growing casually are now yielding the most fruit I have seen in the 8 years I've lived on this block.
As a fellow Kitty, that sounds awful! Would you like to see the garlic I slowly harvested over this week?
I recently picked up a Pablo Casals record. It was pressed a couple years after his death. They're very early recordings, and of course they sound perfect. But of course what got me were the liner notes.
Walking home this evening, and the neighborhood is flying the colors.
This morning I was walking to work, and this stop under the trees was so pretty
Plants have been obtained from the Tilth Alliance plant sale!
