"Therapy is not a crutch to support any sort of relationship, and nor it is necessary to support one. But it can be a HUGE help in knowing and loving oneself, and by extension loving others.
"It is certainly acceptable (and sometimes necessary) to end a relationship, or to allow that relationship to evolve to a form that works better for all concerned.
"If you need support for your non-monogamous life, find a community of like-minded people and participate in it. If you cannot find such a community, start one.
"You don't have to be out to have a healthy non-monogamous life (some of us don't have that option), but there is a WORLD of difference in your mental health if you are.
"99% of the good advice given to monogamous folk applies to non-monogamous folk as well.
"Thank you for coming to my TED talk."
