"Surfing And Spying" was written by Charlotte Caffey. Although not included on the debut album Beauty and the Beat, the song was the B side to the Go-Go's break out hit "Our Lips are Sealed". It was also covered by the band the Ventures in 1981.
These photos were taken by the lovely Janette Beckman in 1979. The mural and poolside photos were taken at the Tropicana Hotel located at 8585 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. It was the legendary crash pad and cultural epicenter for the late 1970s Los Angeles punk and rock scene.
