Cardiff. I have no idea what "man fung" is and no wish to.
It's the weekend, the temperature has dropped and there's a lovely breeze and I'm in Sophia Gardens with a glass of wine. What a nice contrast to the last few days.
Me and my dad many moons ago somewhere on the Costa Brava.
I know he would hate it but I still have huge love for this photo I took of teenage boyo just after we got to our apartment after a long journey. I think it should be called "priorities".
Beautiful. There is statue in Cardiff of John Batchelor with a hand outstretched which, one upon a time, never survived a weekend without him carrying a road cone or a bottle of whatever. Sadly, that tradition seems to have died.
Cycling is very often quicker than driving in Cardiff of late. Plus parking isn't a problem.
Just bought a porcetta focaccia from a stall in Cardiff market and oh boy is this thing delicious.
Dunkirk is featuring in my current read and while I hate all the "spirit of Dunkirk" nonsense, you have to hand it to the guy who turned up in the smallest boat to evacuate troops, the Tamzine, now at the imperial war museum.
I bumped into a friend on my way to the shop and she reminded me about this sauce I recommended to her which I had actually forgotten about. So I immediately cycled to get some. Fermented coconut and chilli goodness. Like crack.
While looking for some other photos, I found this one of the current head of the Green Party in Wales I took in 2010 in Penarth (his partner was my flat mate in Hackney and we used to, cough, visit public houses together).
The voting system in Scotland is not working for Reform. Lol.
Trying to use up my blue cheese glut so made roasted courgettes with blue cheese and garlic. Not the prettiest but very nice. And would you look at the size of those pine nuts from the Turkish shop!
