Human beings are notorious national security threats the first few years after birth. Why do you think they call it the “terrible twos”?
I guess it should be an honor to be on this list, even though they totally get Luddites, GPTs, machine learning, and blockchain wrong. None of these are designed as “assistive” technologies, and none of them give anyone a “voice.”
Ugh. I did not consent to this BS. Anyone know how to tell them to stop this?
Proof that cats like me as much as dogs. These cats usually hate visitors and never warm up to them. They started seeking me out from the first visit.
Ai is an essential life-giving vitamin according to Ed-Tech™ vendors… @hypervisible.bsky.social
Even though I don’t own a pet, cats and dogs usually like me (because I like them). This guy (Rusty) usually hates new people forever, but became my buddy on day 1.
Xitter continues to prove that certain types hate divorced people even when they can’t refute the actual content of the advice. Bonus points for another homeschooler thinking they know more than anyone different than themselves.
Screenshot of the original tweet since I got blocked. As someone that used to work in an educational research lab, I can assure you the research has found they have pedagogical merit. He just told on himself that he doesn’t know how to use them properly.
My son and I made the viral Tini’s TikTok mac n cheese at my parent’s house today and wow is it so good.
Really hate the framing of this event. Not surprising seeing who it is from. But just such bad pedagogy on display it’s kind of shocking to see who promotes this uncritically.
I know lots of people are tired of hearing about the eclipse today, but it really was so amazing to see in person with my son!
“There is a teapot in our kitchen just like any normal hue-mons have.”
First day of classes and my AI policy is out in the wild. We’ll see if they like it. The last three sentences were what the uni wanted. The third sentence is a bit of a reach, but I don’t trust the courts to protect end users, and a LOT of my students are immigrants that will be even less protected.
It seems that no one can figure out the actual shade of gray my walls are, including the builder that gave me the “true color match” touch up paint you see below. So apparently I must now adopt a cheetah theme for my walls since I really don’t want to completely repaint.
Facebook is always pushing their dating service heavily… and I can’t help but notice that the latest re-brand gives off strong Southwest Airlines “no frills so don’t complain about what you get can you just line up already” vibes…
At least the ChatGPT-generated spam I get is keeping me entertained. 😂
Hilarious but not surprising. Alpha males are easily duped if you give them what they want. They never even bothered to know that they are using the concept of alphas wrong.
Managed to make it far enough south to catch the full ring of fire eclipse!
The state of AI hype today: completely ignoring the real damages AI is causing, (which in turn creates a need for regulation)… and then oversimplifying the issue to make it seem like the “best” option is to leave techbros alone so they can techbro all they want.
Dragging yourself into Monday when the last few weeks have been something else…
Saying that “AI makes people smarter” is a gross misunderstanding of the learning process. In practical application, AI is usually used as an automation process that shortcuts using your brain while offloading tasks. It makes people think less…
The super blue moon is incredibly bright tonight, even at 10:45. Decided to catch my moon shadow :) Beautiful sight tonight.
So… 107 is just “sunny,” but 109 is apparently “very hot to the point that your land will dry out into a desert”…?
Did the X app icon change overnight to one with a crack in it? That is… an oddly accurate self-own right there.
How do I know people are rejecting AI? Almost all AI ads on TwiXter are like this one. When your secondary set of ads for a trend start trying to capitalize on mistrust, you know there are a lot of people out there with said mistrust.
I don’t usually put many stickers on my vehicle, but this one was so tempting… and it arrived.
