When the UK relatives who are visiting take off for the day, you go for what’s known as a “sneaky pint”.
Me with Jean-Phillipe Goffin, current owner of Brasserie Cantillon, one of the most famous Lambic breweries in the world. I’m pretty damn happy. (My wife’s social skills resulted in this picture - I am obligated to mention this. 😉)
First Heinie in Amsterdam, this time. The BEER, people, the BEER. Heineken. Wow…you guys.
I am in Rauchbier Valhalla (Schlenkerla in Bamberg). The Märzen is spectacular on tap.
Pilsner Urquell in a brown(ish) bottle? Didn’t know this was a thing. On the Danube in Slovakia. Good!
If you are offered shots of this at a local bar in Budapest, then: a) they probably like you, and b) you might want to run. Trust me.
Wow. I thought the first flight leg was good. We got upgraded to 1st class for the long second leg - we have our own suite and good German beer!
One of the best German Pilsners out there. I will be taking no questions at this time.
Mliko shot of 10° and a Tmavé at Cohesion Brewing in Denver - life is good.
You know it’s been a week when I start with a big-ass DIPA. Happy Friday.
Starting my weekend off with a Saison. Not a sour one or a banana bomb. A nice dry, crisp one from CraftHaus.
Neon Desert Neon Haze straight from the brite tank. So fresh, really good.
Just started collecting tin tackers so we don’t have too many yet, but I just picked up my 1st Oregon brewery. And of course I’ve been to every brewery represented…
Don’t guess if you already know before seeing this, but what city am I in?
Barrel-aged Doppelbock at @deschutesbrewery.bsky.social pub in Portland. Very nice, and hopefully the first stop of several on this trip…
