This month in GC News, we're celebrating the growing School Streets movement across Canada. 🚸 GCC is reflecting on the success of the National Active School Streets Initiative (NASSI), which supported 11 School Streets during the 2025–2026 school year. buff.ly/QXJi9Pf
The Government of BC is the only provincial funder of our nationwide School Streets initiative. Their leadership, alongside the Society for Children and Youth of BC, is helping bring safer, more active school travel to more communities across the province. Learn more: buff.ly/rioGWXd
The only thing moving faster than the bikes was the rain! On June 14, GCC’s School Travel Planning team hosted the Sandhurst Circle Bike Festival at Brimwood Boulevard Junior Public School in Scarborough. Despite the weather, kids still showed up ready to ride, learn, and have fun.
