I just got to handle the boots, sidearm, and photo album of a Union officer. I'm sort of blasé about the First Folio, but this gave me chills. Happy Memorial Day to everyone who gave their life in the fight for liberation.
Despite a sprained knee and a case of bronchitis, we went out for a very slow walk yesterday. It was so good to see the wild oats and new leaves, but also this baby painted turt (which we moved off the road).

The church building is the oldest Episcopal church building in continual use, and was built in the 1770s. It's the most Puritan Episcopal church I've ever been in, that's for sure. (Aside from this stained glass window.) 2/
