I travel occasionally through Toronto and amd spend time there (should have moved there after uni). I don't know if people outside Toronto or others realize how small the area is and what the airport set-up is but here's a view from my last trip to Toronto. I finally went up the CN Tower.
High Tea on the Veranda, always up for tea things, a nice souvenir from Laurier Hpuse Doirs Open! I will consoder going back for that. You can't see the seance room but they will piunt it out for you!
If you're doing Doors Open, they have this little set up at Parliament where you can pester people with questions. It's neat hearing about the restoration work and the additional work being done.
It turns out even a crappy, badly baked pie is still delicious. I tried my hand at a home-baked mini-pie for Pi Day. My cold is getting better and I can eat more normally but I'm still very tired.
It turns out skating is fun when you can do it (mostly)! I was doing fairly well, until I started off into space amd missed this coming up. My skate went into it and *thud* hit the ice. All in all though, I'm pretty pleased with my progress!
I'm not going for perfect, I'm going for yummy (to me)! It's a mixed flour sandwich loaf and it tastes good. I'm still working on the recipe but I'm pretty happy so far!
Tim Hortons is doing their Special Olympic doughnut again this weekend, proceeds raise money for them (plus yummy doughnut).

We made it out skaying! Which is pretty good considering last week I couldn't walk well. I tried hard to keep my hypermobility from rolling my legs which was hard, but a few dips and divots that would have me tumbling before I survived. I hit one large misisng chunk of ice and knew immediately DOWN
I haven't done a world cup so I don't know if this is normal (I don't care if it is), but FIFA and whoever else can fuck right off woth these prices. I wasn't planning on going but I put in to see what the ticket prices would be like and fuck me. They can fuck all the way off.
The @pwhlcharge.bsky.social lost to tje Minnesota Frost tonight but it was a really fun environment. There was a lot of love for Carla, the coach of the Charge who is currently undergoing treatment for breastfeeding cancer. I love the Charge and like Coach Jackie says "I love women's sports".

This "Dean Winchestef" (I'm cosplaying today at ComicCon), needed a fizzy lifting drink (a diet pop) and a cookie break. Then "Dean Winchester" discovered the next panel was lining up to go in already. Good timing!
Atlético Ottawa decided to have a Season Seat Member event to watch a training session. They fed us too so that's neat. It's kind of cool to see how they train.

I got home to a post by Capital Prode saying the Pride Parade was cancelled. It wasn't, the community was speaking with a different voice than the organizers. @mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social didn't like the Palestinian solidarity messaging so he pulled an authoritarian move. Suck it Sutcliffe.
Since I am a Certified Convoy Asshole Hater, this seems to be the small contingent sticking out theor hatred, along the Capital Pride Parade route. They're doing Cannabis and that hits peiple differently so who knows if they'll just remain quiet assholes or not.

It was a little BOOP stop in Torpnto, but it was nice to meet up with a friend and try some treats. Both were very delicious.
