The Melt comp is interesting and good, but doing a Santos/Kuminga comp actually shocked me.

If we do the same chart, but for both of their whole careers, the picture really doesn't change much.
Look at this image - side by side since Podz entered the league. Factor in WS and WS/48 (both strongly favor Podz). I see a bigger, stronger "more athletic" player who doesn't produce at the same level as his less-experienced, smaller, less "gifted" teammate.
Now that you've got your eels, what else do you need? An eel stang or four.
