The boys’s names don’t fit. Now we have Sam Cooke Hunter (formerly Peyton) & Joey Hunter (formerly Eli). Joey is for Old Testament Joseph. He was known for his coat of many colors & ability to interpret dreams. Joey is known for being adorable. Here’s to hoping these names stick.
Did I mention Peyton and Eli are small? Peyton can also fit in this basket, but Eli beat him to it.

Except for IU winning the college football national championship, this year has sucked. We lost Will & Lucy but now are ready to return to 3 cats. We’d like to introduce Peyton & Eli. Peyton & Eli are brothers & are 9-10 wks old. We’ve never had siblings but are excited. #gingercats

Lucille Desiree Ball Hunter 6/1/14 - 3/9/26 We are heartbroken by this news. Lucy was only 11. I thought we found the right insulin level. She was playing all week. But now she’s playing with Will & meeting the rest of the gang. No more insulin shots. Just having fun.
Sweet Sixteen. While we adjust to the new normal, we still celebrate birthdays! Grace is 16 and now wants a car. While she is beyond spoiled, she’s pushing it now. We’re hoping for a party later today.
I used to think Smidge was the lucky one to join your family. I couldn’t be more wrong. Everyone is lucky that Smidge has become a part of our lives. Last week our family lost our boy Will. I could have used a Smidge hug but instead was blessed by Susie & Taco offering their condolences.
William Franklin Holden Hunter 4/17/10 - 2/24/26 Will passed away this morning after battling cancer for over two years. I know he is playing with Abby at the bridge & feeling good. No more cancer. I know he loved us & we loved him. It’s tough to say goodbye. I miss him already so much.
One month today. One month ago Indiana University became national champions in football. As improbable, unlikely, WTF as this is, we are national champions. The word I’ve used and so many others have used to describe what’s happened is surreal. None of this makes sense. Go Hoosiers!

Lucy was diagnosed with diabetes today. She is starting with a pill twice a day. If she doesn't improve, then she will go on insulin. The vet was hopeful she would respond to the medication. Please keep Lucy in your thoughts and prayers.
There really is nothing like nature to provide entertainment. TV has nothing on blowing leaves, chipmunks, rabbits, squirrels.
