This got really heavy, but I'm REALLY glad I've been able to dig into myself like this and sorta... give myself really intensive therapy...

Page 4 had Tide yelling at me "PLEASE!!"
"... end it..." he says, "or... take it back".
I stare at the icicle protruding from his chest, seeing my younger self stuck as well.
A close up of the icy heart cracking, accompanied by the text:
"I don't want to die... but..."

Page 5, "I know" I answer, as I embrace him, impaling myself on the ice as well. "... I do."
As I hug Tide, the scene fades below the water as I sink. The icicle in my chest melting away. Underneath the water, in the dark, I pull myself up, and see my younger self.

Page 6, I approach my young self, sobbing, and embrace my younger self. Bubbles of air escaping us underwater and grouping in the air to form a new heart.
I press my forehead into my younger self's as we cry. "I'm sorry".
The scene zooms out to me and Tide in the river, with the younger me in between us. It's raining, and the younger me is fading away and leaving me with a new heart, no longer frozen.
As the young me fades, I cry and Tide reaches to comfort me. "I locked you away, so please..."

Page 7 Tide embraces me firmly. "Be Free".
He pulls back and beams at me, holding back tears, before he takes my hand and leads us both from the river. "Let's both be."

Last week I was away in Vermont at the Center for Cartoon Studies, and we all made little Memoir Zines! I went pretty heavy with mine, and I'm REALLY happy with the result! It's the first time I've ever finished a comic to where I can print it out! CW: Themes of Self-Harm/Suicidal Ideation

Page 2 is me at a creekside "Here again" I say, as I stare at the water. A monstrous figure rises from the water, and I remark "wait... I... know you"

Page 3 opens with a flashback of me seeing my younger self drawing the Monster, an anthropomorphic otter named "Tide".
"TIDE?" I exclaim, as he yells "Stay Back!"
He's standing in the water with a large icicle impaled through his heart.
I look at him and see my younger self. "You're... me."

So, I'm starting a new project, based on some advice/videos from Struthless on youtube: Draw the same thing everyday, and finish it. I've decided I'll draw a portrait of myself everyday, and sometimes include OCs! Here are days 1 through 4!

A New Character and a Revamped Older Character, done for my Patreon Pinup for November! REALLY love how their vibe came out! I didn't have time to really explore them, but I hope I can play with them more in the future!
