I read dead people. Serial greyhound adopter (🌈Lance, Poppy, Dodge, Rex, and Hunter🌈) and greyhound art collector.
I do have a fondness for the two-faced Hunter in the middle, I admit. You never knew which side of him you'd get in a given encounter: sweetheart or beast from hell. Damn, we loved that piece of work.
Happy to oblige! These are one's I've made. Kindergarteners everywhere are more skilled, but it keeps me off the street.
Went to At Home for a small rug for husband's office and happened across this good boy on sale! #greyhoundcollectables
There was some serious messaging going on here. Speaking of messaging, we continue to receive emails from Hunter from beyond the grave, er, I mean urn.
We highly recommend visiting the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Okla. It's also home to the Bob Dylan archives.
Today's comfort-viewing: Curse of the Demon. Downloaded the M.R. James book for comparison. 🖥📽📚
My husband generally goes rogue on Wordle, using a new start word daily. Now that Wordle is giving badges for a "sea of green," he's embraced "algae" as a start word.
Much like the bike seats where people see greyhound heads, a friend sent me this, with the comment, "Could be a greyhound."
Same with Lance and Poppy. The third pic is not as kinky as it looks.🤭
Like so? Our adoption group was invited to participate in a Greyhound bus rally in Arkansas back in 2013. That's where I got the salt and pepper shakers.
I usually don't do a whole lot of crossover with my greyhound collecting, but occasionally bus-related items will leak through.
We are definitely living in the Twilight Zone. This episode is so prescient.
Here’s a fan video for Herbie’s delectation. I’m sitting under it, reading, on my front porch.
I wish the mugs we painted at an adoption fundraiser would have been sturdier. They bit the dust soon after. They went well with the print. 😟
Mining through my old Instagram feed (currently inactive): Poppy was a fan of the double-stack.
@simmagolda.bsky.social Your word appeared in today's crossword, but the hint was engine sounds. I call foul!
That time at work I mentioned I was bingeing on Trollope books and my coworker wiggled his eyebrows and delivered a barely safe for work quip about lascivious reading. "No, Mark, it's with a capital T." 📚
Is he classified as a black brindle? My recent dog-sitting guest was called that color.
Poppy and Rex were my bed diggers. Pop would go on forever!
For work. This was a portable. We also had honking huge Teleram desktops.
