DSA's second largest chapter has voted overwhelmingly to call on AOC to run for President in 2028. Groundworkers in LA worked to draft this resolution, which will allow DSA-LA to prepare a slate of downballot candidates, discuss AOC with labor, and start basebuilding and fundraising across LA.

Before moving to SoCo, Paul was an organizer in the Twin Cities, serving as campaign manager for Omar Fateh on his successful 2022 re-election campaign to the MN Senate. In chapters and cities both large and small, DSA members like Paul show that GW's theory of change can build power and win big.
Paul, GW member and Sonoma County DSA Electoral Co-Chair, built the field operation for the Joanna Paun campaign from the ground up. Paun went on to win her primary by 16 pts, proving that DSA & mass politics were a force to be reckoned with despite the chapter only being a little over a year old.
James also served as the campaign's VAN Data Director, running the back-end of her field program. In his Steering role, he kept the campaign and the chapter in lock-step together. Groundwork would like to highlight James, and the whole chapter, for their work on Darializa's historic victory.
James I., GW member and NYC-DSA Steering rep from the Bronx/Upper Manhattan, has been with Team Darializa since the beginning. He joined her kitchen cabinet in December when Darializa was seeking DSA endorsement, and was a strong advocate for demonstrating how her campaign fit GW's theory of change.
Excited to see Hasan recognizing the work of NYC-DSA and Groundworkers within it to set a model of socialist co-governance that delivers on campaign promises, expends political capital to invest in public services, and is responsive to asks from mass movements!
