Went to the thrift store looking for display supplies for an exhibit I’m building but they didn’t have any. Picked this up off a shelf and the weight and shape and mechanism was so nice I couldn’t leave it behind.

A hand held mechanical tally counter held in my hand with “1656” visible. It has a dark green paint or powder coat on it.

Trying to set up NFC stickers throughout the house. You put your phone up to the icon and it triggers an automation. The washer sets a timer on my phone for the exact length of the washer. The dryer also sets a timer and a reminder to move the clothes

Personally I think I'm fine with my protein intake as-is, but that's not why you're here.
You, like I, need to know how this stuff tastes. And let's cut to the chase, because man, this stuff is wild. Since bone broth contains a ton of collagen, this sparkling beverage has a silky body to it, which might be off-putting to some. However, if you hadn't told me what was in it, I might not have actually noticed. In terms of flavor, imagine it like a lightly sweetened (with stevia) kombucha. And that beef flavor? Oh yes, it's there, just beyond the fruity flavors.
The beef comes out at the way end, making this a drink that finishes with a twist like an

Chilling

Had to do some office adjacent tasks today (meaning I was out at the coast) and stopped to try and take a picture of the basking seals. Ran into a hiker doing the Oregon Coast Trail who asked what I was looking at. I pointed out the seals which she had assumed were logs or rocks. Always fun to share

It is a sandy spit in the middle of a bay, at the edge of spit across an expanse of water are a bunch of silvery white shapes and some black birds. The silvery lumps are harbor seals and the birds seem to be mostly cormorants

Saw an owl. I’d like to think it was a spotted owl because I was in protected old growth— but probably a barred owl.

So I will finish putting that secondary fence up in the next few days but the dogs can’t get out there so I didn’t prioritize it. What took way longer than you think it would was this “stay in the damn yard” fence made of posts and mesh because it turned out I needed 60 feet of it

It’s hard to see but just in front of a line of trees and bushes is a short mesh fence to keep the dogs from going into the bushes and through gaps in a very old farm fence to the other side to run on this side of a chain link fence the back neighbor has for her dogs. The space between the mesh and the chain link is technically plotted to be a road but there’s no reason to put it through right now and hopefully never will be

So we haven’t had the yard able to be used by the dogs since the neighbor put up the wooden fence which put a hole in the old farm fence that predated us. On that same side where the fence is intact there’s a dog on the other side who is equally lunge first think second as Benny is.

Behold a wire fence enclosing the corner of the back field again.

I am adding a second line of fence on the actual property line about 2 feet in front of the other old fence that the neighbor has also reinforced with hog panels on the other side. This will keep a gap between the dogs if they are ever outside at the same time— since neither of us can legally put a new fence exactly where the old one is

Cooper (red heeler mix and we are now certain he is half beagle and half heeler— for our sins) curled into a tight donut sleeping on the bed he looks so innocent and not at all like a baby who snuck into the kitchen, got stuck behind the baby gate, ate the favorite plastic serving spoon and then cried like he was being murdered until someone saved him from himself
