Interesting trivia. In addition to singing the most atmospheric OP of the spring and probably the best performance of the summer in an otherwise mediocre (so far) show (Toumei), Irino Miyu is apparently the only seiyuu in Jaadugar dubbing his own Mongolian.
The current arc in Boku Dake Ga Shitterun Daze is absolutely unfair.
lostinanime.com/2026/06/summer-2026-season-preview-and-video-companion/ It's a great week to be an LiA patron! Here's a sneak preview of the, er, preview. The post will go live for all later this week. If you're an LiA financial supporter, check your inbox.

There aren't that many episodes that just make me say "Wow", but Iruma-kun was just "Wow".
Here's a thought. As long as anime is in the mode of adapting cancelled/mid WSJ series, how about Sesuji wo Pin? Wasn't a bad seller, incredibly kawaii, would make a good one-cour series.
On what planet can you get a Chateau Boyd-Cantenac for ¥3,000? I will say, apparently Chateau Boyd-Cantenac shot up in price after it featured in the manga/dramas.
They’re starting to notice… Futari Bus has “it”. I follow maybe 15-20 manga at any given time. That’s out of hundreds of serialized series. So that in itself is a high bar - those are series that make me say “ I want to spend time with these people every week “.
lostinanime.com/2026/04/mair... The music festival arc feels like it should be right up this series’ alley.
lostinanime.com/2026/04/firs... I am very much the target audience for The Drops of God. I don’t know whether that makes me a captive audience or a tougher one, but it’s a fact.
Chihayafuru "giant karuta vending machine" campaign ongoing in Saga Arashiyama.
lostinanime.com/2026/04/seco... I think Koori no Jouheki’s floor is pretty high. Whether its ceiling is as high as the Seihantai level remains to be seen.
Looking down on Byoudou-in through the sakura, oldest shrine honden (1060) in Japan at Ujikami Jinja.
There are many reasons why Futari Bus is great. But the way it handles the bus driver (Nori-san, it turns out) is perfect. For 17 chapters we just get the tiniest indications that he’s watching and listening, yet we 100% know he’s their dai-fan. Then he gets his own chapter.
I may have fallen harder and faster (along with maybe When the Chameleon Flowers Bloom) for Futari Bus than any manga since BokuYaba.
Is this (Sapporo import San Tora) now the best bowl of miso ramen in Tokyo? It’s not a slam dunk like when Kururi existed. Tsujida is a contender. Kikanbo is technically miso, though kind of in its own category.
The LiA supporter sneak peek of the Spring 2026 Season Preview is live! This early look is a thank-you for LiA's financial supporters. The post and video companion go live for all next week. lostinanime.com/2026/03/spri...
Just putting it out there, “Futari Bus” (Weekly Shounen Sunday) is special. You’ll be hearing more about this one (from me at the very least). www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...
