My North Carolina SIL wears hearing aids so has never had her ears pierced. So she needs a dogwood necklace. My small business counselor had a third baby several months ago, so she gets a non traditional mother’s necklace. 3rd finally made myself a pair of the drop earrings everyone seems to love.
We have so many and they’re so vocal, I had to have a friend make me the tools to make a right and left, to make earrings. We just had a pair raise 4 chicks in a lawn chair. They fledged yesterday and are flying around and learning to feed themselves.

G-Money had a really rough time. He’s better today and said he needs to spend the day sleeping. Dexter said he wasn’t bothered at all, as long as he was cuddled up with his dad.

You haven’t had the loveliest of high teas until you’ve had a lovely high tea at an independent bookstore. Even more special is getting to cater that tea, knowing there will be another one for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Red Bud, they’re edible, leaves are edible & their seed pods are edible. I dry the blossoms in a convection oven & use them to decorate baked goods, but you can make jelly when they’re fresh & dry them to make teas. They’re lovely. Here they’re with native violets on glazed angel food petit fours.
