Finished the Farseer trilogy, it's very good! I read it faster than most series because the pacing is just kind of addictive. Still funny that fantasy writers will so often write 1400 pages and then have the ending be extremely rushed
One thing I enjoyed about Assassin's Apprentice is it wasn't a huge book, I love a good 400 page fantasy book. Anyway
When I was younger I used to read a bunch of bad fantasy books about assassins cause I thought they were cool, and I always just kinda assumed Assassin's Apprentice was one of them. It turns out it's incredible and I've been missing out! The original title Chivalry's Bastard is so so much stronger
Still have a lot to learn and made some real dumb mistakes on this guy but I'm really happy with how he came out, even tho the model and colour scheme are doing the heavy lifting ehe
I've been forgetting to post my books (which I mostly just do to keep track myself) so I'm just gonna use this as a thread to keep them in one place lmao, as catch-up I think these are the ones I've missed this year.
Remake haters will genuinely try to tell you that Roche is a bad character
I don't think I appreciated how good FF7 Rebirth is the first time I played it
Realised I might not have ever posted it here, here's the full reference image of Kit~
Very happy with the pose I ended up with on my Ghostkeel, which was entirely down to just wanting to have him stomp on a space marine
One thing I decided when I started collecting Warhammer again is that I would stick to one army until I actually had it in a good playable state, and not get distracted by other factions. Man.
Hey bro do you wanna spend €1000 on a mid-range Linux PC that can't run the majority of games most people play
At Warhammer World, and maybe I can't actually judge Disney adults because this isn't really less silly and I sure am happy to be here like a big child
Old train! I bet someone who follows me will be able to identify it on sight
It's my sloppiest model for sure and it's gonna break somewhere in the next 15 seconds but I'm very happy with the pose I somehow made work on my first crisis suit :3
I read 200 pages of Nicolas Lietzau's Dreams of the Dying! It's fucking trash!!! Fine writing and world building constantly derailed by the author's cool drifter explaining how ethical capitalism is the way and actually everyone's selfish to strawman characters who like him for it. Embarrassing.
Hiked 15km for the second time in three days but it sure is a pretty place to be walking in
@transgoatgirl.bsky.social found your relatives on holiday, they came over and licked our hands, followed us up a mountain and tried to steal our food :3
Fascinating to see game journalists almost turning their noses up at linear games again, after I thought we were all sick of huge open worlds and checklisting. The answer to "how do you make a linear game replayable" used to be "people will replay it if it's fun" but we've forgotten that I guess
It's genuinely hard to think of another artist whose style is even vaguely similar to Blanche's, so immediately recognisable even without any background knowledge. His picture of the Emperor on the throne is probably one of the strongest stylistic vibes ever conveyed in one image.
My hoodie has continued to deteriorate and is now becoming one of those experimental fashion things people wear to awards shows for attention
