They are beautiful. I took these in St. Paul’s Cathedral in Wellington, New Zealand.
Do they ever get close to you? Our rural property is adjacent to a hunting area, so ours are quite skittish. This is about 75 feet from our front porch. They’ll let us sit and watch, but if we step off the porch they’re gone.
Some sunshine and beauty at the end of a pretty miserable week in middle Tennessee
We live east of Nashville. Everything is covered with ice. On the ground it’s a solid inch thick. I have to wear spiked boots to walk outside, and driving on this is next to impossible. Even the deer are having trouble walking on it. Watch the one in the back on the right.
That was a regular daytime photo. This one was taken in night mode with long exposure.
Simple things that we often ignore - like frost on a windshield - are amazing when you take a closer look.
The annual appearance of frost flowers. I spent most of my life in Florida, and I didn’t know these amazing things existed until I was 60. They usually only appear on a few days in late fall with the first hard freezes.
I took this picture at St. Paul church in Wellington, New Zealand. I’m sure it’s not nearly as old as the one in France. Still, pretty nice.
We’re getting meteorological whiplash. It was 72°F (22°C) on Saturday. Today it was 30°F (-1°C)in the afternoon and looked like this. The forecast for the coming Saturday is sunny and 72°.
Milder climate and less luck. Not a word I’ve ever used, but at least I eventually solved it.
