I am a mercurial faerie queen with a heart of gold, no respect for capitalism, a good eye for colour, and a large vocabulary. I write, sing, write songs, play the wire strung harp, knit, read, and do my best. Sometimes I like to paint stuff on my face.
Taranis is a 22-string harp with a full, dark sound. He was made by William MacDonald in 2016 from wind-felled oak in the Isle of Skye. He is the only harp of his kind, and I’m so happy he is coming home with me to Scotland.
Completed yellow & green tweedy sox, plus finished mending heels on rainbow sox yesterday! Because I always have to have Sox on the go, I started the Knitty Peerie Plaid Sox yesterday since I now seem to be obsessed with small slip stitch colour patterns. The wool for the new ones is Drops Fabel.
Detail of the bottom edge of the Annie shawl (another great vintage Knitty pattern) that I’m making for a friend.
Tonight’s paint for Wicked in the cinema! #makeup #facepaint #faceart
Example: here is a pair of socks made from another Schoppel-Wolle type, a “crazy zauberball”.
Shawl in progress for my lovely friend Claire, who is not a social network kind of person. Schoppel-Wolle Zauber Flower in Belladonna; 8/0 glass beads; ChaiaoGoo 4mm circular needle. Pattern is from Knitty, Charmaine. knitty.com/ISSUEss18/PA...
Socks for my sister, finished a few days ago. Now they’re on blockers until I post them off to her later this week!
