I just read that it’s International Cat Day, so here’s Simba (not my cat) showing me he missed me while I was away.

Simba, a short-haired orange tabby cat, is curled up in my lap asleep between me and my desk. I’m wearing a light blue tshirt and gray pants. My desk and the bottom row of my keyboard are visible at the top of the photo.

Here’s my old friend. We’ve had this mixer since the mid- or late-90s. I just baked this cold-oven poundcake, and I’ll glaze it once it’s cool.
