Leaving aside how gross it is of him to be so blasé about this, here are the figures *he posted* yesterday, yet he's out here today saying the US lost 200'000 in Vietnam. 🙄
The exchange below should finally change the mind of anyone dumb enough to think he's master negotiator. But why do US journalists struggle so much with asking piercing follow up questions? E.g. "If you thought they were just tapping you along, why did you keep saying a deal was imminent?"
It's not a funny situation but I'm actually lmao at how childlike he sounds, having his words read out in such a deadpan tone.
None of that is necessary, since the evidence that it's BS is contained in Trump's answer.
A guy who posted "86 46" is regularly given a place of honour at White House press briefings and events.
I just wondered the same. SOMEONE must find it hilarious, or they wouldn't still be making the joke, right? It reminds me of what Tyrion told Theon in Game of Thrones. "You're all making the same 5 or 6 jokes". Only in this case it's more like 1 or 2 jokes.
OK, correction: they've never needed to, since Trump has said them himself, many times, and the White House put out multiple graphics listing them. It's been fact-checked to death. Seriously, just google "Trump 8 wars" and see how many fact checking articles from 2025 come up.
See - 2 of the top 3 hits are the BBC fact-checking it last year, and a Times story that was updated today.
They have! He's listed them many times, and many new outlets have fact-checked it many times. Seriously, what is it with this talking point? It's such a weird thing to criticise reporters for...
See? I dont want to be too harsh on you, I'm just genuinely baffled by this response, which i see so often. If you follow Aaron Rupar, you surely know that this was covered extensively last year??
Interesting - I'll definitely be reading up on that some more! This sounds rather familiar...
The US President has just openly and categorically threatened to commit genocide tonight, and yet the US congress (and many of it's citizens) will just carry on as normal.
Jesus wept...I suspected this was the case but I'm still shocked by how open and explicit they're being about it. Rubio was unintentionally right!
"Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees." That sounds wild...imagine if Trump supporters did such a thing!
"…sacrificing our wealth…" I actually think he believes this…because in his eugenicist fantasy, the fact that this photo contains nearly $1 TRILLION in net wealth is just the natural order of things, unconnected from the millions of people struggling to make ends meet. He's a deeply troubled…
In this instance you dont even need that to know it's imaginary, since: 1. Its so obviously nonsense 2. He's been saying this happened "the other day" since August.
The President of the United States has now resorted to reposting videos of immigrants holding peaceful, joyful community events, trying to incite fear and hatred of them. This comes after he's spent days talking about needing to "get them out". Racist and fascist to his core.
But when you include it after text it reduces your remaining character count by three...
Karoline Leavitt and the GOP claim the unredacted email placing Trump at Epstein's house with Virginia Giuffre vindicates him, citing Giuffre’s past comments. But if you look at *Trump* and *Leavitt's* own past comments, this email doesn't clear him - it should bury him. 🧵
