A Story by The Genesis:

"There are still nuggets from the original psychedelic era to be unearthed, in this case an early rock opera. By 1969, Luton band Genesis (not that one! The label has since prefixed with "the" after receiving legal advice) had morphed from a soul covers band into an outfit with grander artistic ambitions which they channelled into making a life-cycle concept album. Boy meets girl, they marry, boredom and hatred follow, which leads to murder and a subsequent court trial. Dotted throughout are ruminations on life itself.

Pulled together from surviving reel-to-reel and cassette copies, the sound quality is more than passable, but best of all are the songs-a flowing suite of keyboard-led, classical-laced psychedelia which draws comparisons with The Pretty Things, Procol Harum and The Kinks. This homespun “lost” magnum opus is finally getting the physical release it deserves, including a gatefold vinyl edition packed with photos and extensive liner notes."

My cousin got tickets to Oasis at Knebworth, so I went along, amazing day out for £22.50, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers also on the bill. We ran right to the front as soon as the doors opened, found myself in this pic a few years ago (circled myself in red)
