Just another quick sketch. It started to tighten up again. I want these to just be loosey-goosey but it’s hard to escape myself. This was very quick. Acrylic on paper.
Just horsing around during the World Cup final. The more I try to correct the drawing the more refined it gets. That’s the opposite of what I’m after.
Amish horse. I find horses and cows difficult. It might be because I don’t know their anatomy. I try to just rely on what I’m seeing. The difficulty makes the chase fun. Acrylic on linen.

I try to control watercolors until it twists my brain into a frustrated knot. Then it launches me back in the other direction. Eventually an “impression” won’t be enough and I’ll swing back towards specifics. I’m learning to just ride the waves back and forth rather than fighting them. Acrylic.
I think I’m done playing with this watercolor. That’s almost as much green as the reflecting pool. 15x22”
