While I will never forget seeing The Garden of Earthly Delights in the Prado at 18, I always feel like Hieronymus Bosch's drawings get short shrift. This is his atmospheric "The Owls' Nest" (c. 1505 - 1515).

Had big productive plans for reading week but ended up sleeping in, eating leftovers, and accidentally matching my sock project to the novel I just impulse-bought. Feeling weirdly rested and well for the first time in a long time.
We have washed, blanched, and peeled the tomatoes. I am now sitting on my kitchen floor, feeling a little tired.
It's tomato sauce day, an important tradition that has existed since my in-laws first gifted me a huge box of sauce-grade tomatoes last summer.
