Mylo crossed the Rainbow Bridge today and joined the others we've said goodbye to. It was a privilege to be your mom, Mylo, and I sincerely hope we see one another again on the other side of that bridge!
This is Tomodachi Inu. She's a Zagüate (our word for a dog of indeterminant origens). She's the smartest, most loyal, most caring dog I've ever known. 20/10 in my never-humble opinion!

This little (~17cm) Spotted Coffee Snake - Ninia maculata - was on the walkway behind my house last night. She played dead at first, flattening out and waiting...until I went inside to get my phone, when she slithered into the grass, where you see her here. 😍

Here's a little Coral Snake, Micrurus nigrocinctus - the kind of snake we see most often at our place in Costa Rica. ♥️ That's Kenichi in the foreground - notice how unconcerned he is. We know that Corals are quite timid. Notice she's even avoiding the Leafcutter ants!
This is the 88 Butterfly, Diaethria anna! This was a rare opportunity -- I've never seen one stay still for this long! This really is the most magical place.
I have one in my yard in Costa Rica. I saw blooms on it starting a couple of months ago, and there are new buds growing as I write this.
Funny story: this plant began blooming a few months ago...I kept finding these long, white flowers kind of closed up that then just wilted away...then last night, on another quest, I happened outside and... Oh, my! In all, this flower is about 22cm wide!

Cuteness overload!!! First time I've ever seen an armadillo during the day! This one is pretty small -- maybe 30cm from tip of nose to tip of tail. They eat mainly insects and their larvae, digging shallow holes in their search for food. ♥️
The variety of Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies) here are astounding! This is a moth, because its wings are open at rest. Nerdy stuff, but also miraculous!
Yigüirro fledgling (Clay Thrush) - no worries - mom and dad were being vigilant and I kept the dogs on leashes. He was flying a couple of days later. ♥️
