The Omega Nebula 30 minutes stacked, Seestar S30 Pro. Philadelphia, PA. Bortle 8.
just watched the first two episodes of this. second one was almost entirely about jude. it's a done deal for me. hala madrid.
waxing gibbous philadelphia, pa i've been so annoyed by cloudy night after cloudy night. took what i could get tonight.
i get watching this gleefully but it's just sad. sad that the country chose a man so narcissistic that he needed this. sad that it clogged courts and the time of the smart people in them. sad for the workers spending a summer friday night not with their families but removing a stain. sad.
i also tried my hand at being steven spielberg for a second during dinner.
also what in the name of star wars is this photo lia's sister snapped of me, lia, and teddy? i am obsessed.
As a future gift (she's not on here, don't worry), I snuck the telescope to the wedding and set it up to shoot the stars directly above them as they were married. I'll print and frame it for them. 1st shot is straight from scope, 2nd is my "I still don't know what I'm doing" pass at edits.
We spent this weekend celebrating Lia's sister and her now husband in a beautiful barn tucked away in the Pennsylvania countryside. What a gift to have family you cherish.
M27: The Dumbbell Nebula, three hours stacked M51: The Whirlpool Galaxy, 85 minutes stacked
last night: full moon - one minute stacked m51, the whirlpool galaxy - 20 minutes stacked
one of the nerdiest things i do is immediately annotate every photo i get of the moon
when work sends you to rural west virginia, you spend the evening at a state park.
