Instacart, please stop showing me AI generated food for your slop recipes. Its so off putting.
I like when book authors add a little message in the beginning and I want to do that for my website besides my stupid little "hi im Heather" intro.
Sometimes the new dog's tongue just slightly sticks out and we like to think shes having the biggest think she can possibly muster with her single brain cell.
Speaking of violins, this happened today when I went to practice, which sort of tracks since it has never been re-haired in the 20 or so years since I bought it.
I was just using my practice electric violin because i was worried about the noise but missed my acoustic so I took it out and got it in working order again. Its amazing to me how violins seem to hold a memory to them. Way easier to tune. As if it wasn't sitting on a shelf for the past 5+ years.
Also I got all these books!!!! Some are re-purchases and two are new.
The "give up your past life completely and live a new ordered life"? INCREDIBLY CREEPY. Made even creepier by Bastion looking like a beautiful paradise with golden rolling hills and blue skies. They cooked on this one.
Been getting asked about tooltips a lot at work lately and now I can't stop finding useless tooltips. Like this one from Google Drive.
I'm still very slowly reading the Silmarillion because I only read it when I get out of the house. Melkor lying in his parole hearing is very funny to me.
More and more convinced that the biggest use for genAI imagery is for people's powerpoint presentations because that's the best example they could come up with.
Ok, worked on the outside of my house in #WoW after collecting some things. 200 isn't a *lot* of outdoor budget, but if you just focus on one area you can do pretty neat things. Like, don't look at the back of my house lol.
Bro I just started a completely blank document. What could I possibly need you to generate or help me with at this moment. When I clicked create document it asked me to beautify the document. BEAUTIFY WHAT. WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE.
Spent Thanksgiving with wonderful people at our local place who host every year for friends. Probably the best Thanksgiving I've had in a very long time.
We got a 2nd dog last week. Her name was Lennox, from her foster mother, but we kept saying Linux and it was pissing us off. So now she is Sabrina. She didn't really respond to her name before anyways, lol.
I really want to know who is using this, for what part of their job, and if their job is maybe not meaningful.
They literally can't stop putting fucking sparkle AI buttons on every damn thing. I hate it so much. I don't need AI assistance when I'm in the dev tools inspect element tab. I don't need that. I don't know who asked for this. Why the fuck does everything need a fucking AI assistant?
I don't think a piece of mail has made me so giddy to open in like, idk years. Thanks @jennschiffer.com
I got so mad about this, I forgot I opened up this photo to tell my partner to make sure to change his druid appearance in WoW to be a bat because it's Halloween!!!!!! very important stuff going on here!!!!
I'll literally never remember what these icons are when you open a photo on Windows. I have to hover over them every single time to find the one that lets you crop and resize (the one in the middle). chat is this UX?
Traumatized by AI sparkles so immediately, no. I don't even want to click it to see what it is. What fresh hell awaits me? No, thanks.
I mean, it has to be the Arathi empire, right? Like, I'm guessing Liadrin prayed so hard the Light answered by allowing them to portal through the Sunwell? It at least looks like the same soldiers from the original War Within cinematic when Faerin is in front of them.
Every so often the #WoW story tellers just slip a little bit of text into a clickable item that just crushes your soul a little, no big deal.
Anyway, here is Pepper doing her best trick, which is napping on pillows. The best girl.
