A gorgeous day for a walk to Duddingston. I hadn't been along since they closed Duddingston Low Road. What a difference having no cars makes. Lunch in Dr Neil's Garden cafe was great.
Yesterday was the first time I've been in Glasgow since the fire. It's incredible how in 4 months there's barely any trace of a building that no doubt took years to build.

These photos on Reddit are pretty shocking. They reckon it's next to the gap site where the Levi store way. I'm actually pretty quite close to that end of PrinceS St, but and can't smell anything, due to a terrible sense of smell and allergies.
Found this old Patz Lager album clearing out dad's house. Not entirely sure what to do with it, but there are some excellent photos, like some average 1950s Glaswegians all dressed up to have some pals round for a beer.

It must be about part 16 of our John Muir Way project from east to west in bite-sized bits. We've finally reached Dunbartonshire🥳 The 360° view from the top of Bar Hill Roman Fort en route is quite something, and well earned after the steep ascent.

Adverts in 1970s Scottish football programmes... Le Mirage French Restaurant in Dundee sounds like a special kind of place. The sun kissed cuisine! The ruby red setting! The dramatic Latin rhythms! I do hope the stalwarts at Dens Park appreciated the romance of it all.

Considering the SNP made such a big thing of the Monklands Hospital replacement during the election campaign, it's disgraceful that just over a month later, it's been scrapped.

I'm enjoying the adverts in this old 1957 athletics programme, especially their lack of hyperbole. The Plastimac isn't the 'best' raincoat. It's just better. Though we'll never know what it's actually better than.
