So @thekillingjar.bsky.social is helping me find a dress for my brother’s wedding… but she also decided to have fun with me.
Oh shit we got tickets! Let’s watch: Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight! After being sold out for over a week, some tickets opened up and we managed to get in!
Let’s watch: Predator! Featuring a very special presentation from Media Rewind’s very own Mt. Baldy aka Dustin! (No pre show tonight because of new projector)
Taking a few hours before Predator to chill at Screenland with tea and a moon cake while reading Harrow County. Bit of a rush with all the folks going to see the new Evil Dead movie. One of those places where I can read and feel at ease…
Just in time before the end of pride month— I did a 1000 piece puzzle about queer icons in literature! This includes writers like Oscar Wilde, Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, Virginia Woolf, Ocean Vuong, Sappho, Chiya Fujino and many more!
Let’s watch: Nightbreed (Director’s Cut) WITH A SPECIAL QUESTION ROUND BY MARIE AND BRUCE! ( @thekillingjar.bsky.social and @nezumiskum.bsky.social respectively)
Let’s watch: Bride of Chucky! Ready to see two dolls get it on?
In The Wind by Peter, Paul and Mary Back on my bullshit with Peter, Paul and Mary. At least three songs on this album are by Bob Dylan. In fact, they would go on to perform “Blowin’ In The Wind” at the March on Washington before MLK Jr. gave his I Have A Dream speech.
Let’s watch: Donnie Darko! Crazy for Swayze and killer bunnies!
I somehow decided I wanted to spend my Sunday evening getting very sad in such a beautiful way…
Let’s watch: Alien^3 This is my first watch through of the Alien series. Saw Alien a few months ago, then Aliens earlier this week… just keeping this train going!
I’M BACK BABY!! And look at this crowd because we are here to watch: GODZILLA (1954) The one true king of the monsters…
Second wedding in a row this weekend for a friend from uni. Congratulations, Melody and Matthew!
Let’s watch: They Live! … almost every wanted to cry a bit because I miss Screenland and Stray Cat so much. I can’t wait to see you all next week for Godzilla! Also I saw a trailer for a film that is supposedly taking place in Kansas City so I wanted to cry more! 😭😭😭
This trip to Atlanta was exactly what I needed. Got to go out to the Aquarium with an old friend from uni. It was a great day!
… SO THERE IS A BABY SLOTH AT THE ATLANTA ZOO. AND I GOT TO SEE IT CUDDLE WITH ITS MAMA. I CAN DIE NOW GOODBYE.
Once again, I am missing the Friday Night Fright (I miss you @nightmarejunkhead.bsky.social , @thekillingjar.bsky.social, @jeniusmcgee.bsky.social and @paynraven.bsky.social ). … so I’m bringing the Friday Night Fright to Georgia! Oh thank god it’s on Kanopy!
If you’re wondering where I am at this Friday Night Fright… I am not there. Instead, I am in Springfield celebrating my sister’s wedding. 💐😊💐
Let’s watch: Under The Skin! A film a lot of people in this film a lot of people haven’t seen before.
So I was looking up one of my old jobs addresses and I found a website that was essentially a travel site. I was absolutely tickled because I was in one of the pictures. My back was turned but there I am! I miss those days… I also miss this job…
So… if I go missing tonight, chances are I was abducted by a little Japanese girl in a yellow raincoat.
Fire… Walk With Me. What better way to do that than to watch it at Screenland with other Twin Peaks fans?
Soooo due to a mishap with Theater 1 tonight and not buying a ticket in time, no Friday Night Fright. However, I did hang out at the theater and then come home to Midnight Diner. Which is just as good. The episode is also horror adjacent.
