🚨duck update!🚨 Saw mama and baby ducks again today! They were hanging out under our pier in the shade to escape the heat and swam out when we walked on the pier because we inadvertently scared them. Happy to report that all 10 babies are still there and looking good! Good job, mama!
We made it! My first time having two double show days in a row.
Oh yes, we are quite cozy in a hallway 😂 this is all my space, I can’t move outside the pink line bc the cast walks past us.
These hiking shoes have carried me over hundreds of miles in so many national parks, state parks, forest preserves, and are starting to show their wear from the last 5 years or so. I guess it’s getting time to replace them, but they have served their purpose well!
Hanging out with friends tonight. We were going to see fireworks but with impending storms and bananas amount of rain we’ve had in the last 2 days, we’re just going to stay and chill at their house instead. Even if the storms clear it will be wet and gross. I’m bringing farro salad 😋

First outdoor bike of the year! Before vacation it was so rainy and stormy and (hard to believe now) a little too cold so I just haven’t gotten out yet. I was hoping with all the big storms we had last night that it would be cooler today, but it was only marginally cooler. I’m so hot and sweaty 🥵
Whoever just played reed on Urinetown - I hate you. If you have to write in that many accidentals and beats because you can’t count in cut time, get an iPad so *I* don’t have to spend 30 minutes erasing your shit. Also now I get to clean up all the eraser shavings all over my table and floor.
Home from vacation and back to work! Sitzprobe and wandelprobe for Urinetown tonight. My brain and body are still in pacific time 😵💫
Before that, we spent a few days in Seattle, not realizing until we left that the World Cup was happening 😬 oops. It was kinda bananas but we still enjoyed it.
We took a ferry to San Juan Island and glamped in a canvas tent on a lake. It was amazing! We had to wait in the standby line to get on the ferry for 4 hours though 😵💫 which was not very much fun.
Saw some mountains. They were pretty rad. (I also thought I would die on this hike. I have so far survived)
We hiked to this thing on the beach and thought I was going to die. It was so hot and sunny and very far.
Currently freezing on the WA coast after boiling the last few days hiking in Olympic National Park. Current view. Let me know if you want to see pics of our travels so far!
