my gpu and my vr headset are both about the same age (6 and 7 years respectively). it used to be the case that on windows, i would keep getting weird frametime spikes & controller tracking hitches/desyncs i spent a day ish patching stuff to get it all working on Linux under wayland.. it's so smooth
finally finished building my first zmk keyboard 🥰 one of my two Cerberus kits :33 (does ZMK seriously not support showing charging status ?? i thought she wasn't charging, but then a few hours later the battery percent jumped from 28 to 52... So.... Presumably it did charge....)
this is all just a part of the larger whole :) still a buncha work to do before I want to release this properly, but it's been continuing nicely.... the next big steps will be the config editor (obviously, it makes my life easier to have built-in config validation) and the .zip/.tar.gz intake :3
so how do we feel about bulk-tag-editing software for managing Very Large Music Libraries?
seriously, why is this not something that *any* other piece of Music Library Management software has handled before? (it feels so goddamned good writing all this and using it first to tidy up my own music corpus first :D)
finally finished all of the underlying signals-processing/compute-dispatch systems i needed to power this, and i finally have a rough version of my music library tag-squash / tag-fixing software put together. it's at the "playing with legos" stage of glueing signals together :D
one of them "drafting up state machine diagrams & documentation" types of evenings 😇 (and in doing so uncovered a very minor state transition i forgot to implement!! this is why you show and document your work!!)

like - i cannot stress enough - i can kinda get? why having a bonus vulkan thing hooked in that's doing its own draw calls every frame, might fix the halt here, by ensuring a draw finishes and flushes the buffer...... but like. what?
2025 is finally Year Of The Good Operating System! i highly encourage trying out any distro that ships KDE Plasma 6 as the default environment - Fedora KDE, Solus, and Kubuntu are all pretty solid, but I can finally say reasonably confidently that linux performs as well or better than windows now

my beloved zealot has so many good looks.... i finished getting Every Single Penance done on Zealot while grinding out the Auric Exemplar title, and now it's time for Auric Maelstrom & Havoc gameplay 💪 (and also boosting up friends' characters to max level/farm auric missions to build better gear!)
i really love how windows can just leak somewhere around 20gib of memory in 5 days it's like, probably a driver doing it, but STILL it's absurd that this has been a problem for like...... months~year at this point???
